Remote Computer Labs Overview

Welcome to SUNY Erie’s Remote Computer Labs. This service will allow students, registered for the current academic semester, to access computer lab software in specific labs when on-campus and off-campus.


ACCESS REMOTE COMPUTER LABS


Computer Labs are only available to remote users, when on-campus courses are not scheduled in a lab. After signing in, you will see a list of labs. Labs with a green bar are available


- To access computers in a lab, click on the lab and click the Connect button next to an available computer to be connected.


- To view hours of a lab, click on a lab, then click the "Info" button at the top, this will display the hours when the lab is open remotely.


- To find what software is in a lab, click into a lab. Then use the magnifying glass in the upper right corner to find a software package you would like to use. This will filter the list and only show computers with the software you selected.


Once you are connected, you can use the computer as you normally would. When finished, use the start menu to log off the computer. If you only close out of the connection, the computer will not be available for future sessions.


NOTE: Computers are restarted nightly for system updates and are unavailable between 3:00am and 3:15am EST.
